Food Pantry Programs - The Moving Market

The Moving Market provides an emergency delivery Service, for disabled and/or elderly individuals who are homebound and have no one else to come to the pantry to pick up their food. This program serves the NORTH SHORE ELDERLY, DISABLED OR DISADVANTAGED.

Individuals or families in need of this service can call the pantry on Tuesdays or Thursdays to schedule a delivery.

Types of food distributed include a variety of nonperishable items, perishable items, including frozen meat, fresh milk, formula, and baby food. Food sources include donated, purchased, and reclaimed food from a variety of sources including the Greater Boston Food Bank.

The Moving Market also offers clients more than food. Our clients routinely request personal hygiene items, including shampoo, soap, toothpaste, diapers and more, so we also welcome these donations.

Our operations are supported entirely by generous and dedicated volunteers.

St. Joseph's Food Pantry is supported in part by The City of Salem, Planning Dept., US Dept. of HUD and by private individuals, businesses, organizations and foundtions.and financial institutions. With your support we serve over 2000 individuals a month.
